Pakistani national wins Dh15m Big Ticket grand prize in Abu Dhabi live draw
Indian resident takes home a brand-new Land Rover Defender
ABU DHABI – A Pakistani national has won Dh15 million in Big Ticket’s Series 290 live draw in Abu Dhabi, securing one of the promotion’s biggest prizes.
Shaukat Aftab, from Pakistan, saw ticket number 245556 selected during the draw, with last month’s winner Reynaldo Herboso from the Philippines making the winning pick. Aftab was then contacted by phone and initially struggled to believe the news.
The winner checked the live draw on YouTube before the reality of his fortune sank in. Reacting to the announcement, Aftab said, “Oh my God! Thank you very much. Love you. So grateful and very happy to know.” His Dh15 million prize places him among the latest Big Ticket participants to receive a major cash windfall through the Abu Dhabi-based draw.
Luxury prize
The latest series also produced a major prize for an Indian expat living in Dubai. Ravindranathan Vinesh was named the winner of a brand-new Land Rover Defender after ticket number 035787 was selected in the Dream Car series.
The vehicle prize added another headline moment to Series 290, alongside the Dh15 million grand prize. Vinesh became the latest participant to secure one of Big Ticket’s luxury vehicle rewards.
Five other participants each won Dh100,000 as consolation prize winners in the latest draw. They included Sandeepkumar Nanera of India, with ticket number 108576; Mohammed Rafiquil Islam Ahmed Meah Talukder of Bangladesh, residing in Dubai, with ticket number 112622; Mullapulli Praveen Babu of India, residing in Sharjah, with ticket number 303871; Suresh Kumar of India, residing in Dubai, with ticket number 046354; and Shiblin Sarfaz of India, residing in Dubai, with ticket number 250439.
Big Spin
The Big Spin also produced three cash winners during the live game. Jinkie Sandoval, a Filipino national residing in Dubai, won Dh50,000, while Mohammed Kamal Hossan, a Bangladeshi national residing in Oman, took home Dh500,000. An Indian national residing in Sharjah won Dh150,000.
The next Big Spin contestants are MD Nasir Uddin from Bangladesh, residing in Saudi Arabia, with ticket number 037559; Arun Kumar Yada Bhagelu Yadav from India, residing in Dubai, with ticket number 086721; and Taha Ahmed from Egypt, residing in Dubai, with ticket number 064400.
Attention now shifts to the next Big Ticket promotion, which will offer a Dh20 million grand prize. The upcoming series will also feature two luxury vehicle draws, with a Nissan Patrol scheduled to be awarded on October 3, followed by a Range Rover Velar on November 3.
